Well, I'm wondering if anyone is still on this Wiki. I always end up typing these stories on a deserted Wiki! It drives me nuts!
King's January 2015 Writing Contest
Okay, we have a problem. The last two contests had no entries completed on time, thus rendering both invalid. Procrastination must take the blame, as must all the entrants, myself included. This time, that's not gonna happen. This is the new year, and what better time to finally get our stuff together and get to work?
In that spirit, I propose this contest's theme be: There's no time like the present.
As usual, interpret however you want, finish by the end of the month, feel free to help judge, etcetera, don't procrastinate, do a great job and have fun!

99% of the population on Creativity Unleashed write only stories and poems here. I am that someone who desn't write, my deepest apologies. The fact is that I can't write. If I write I can't finish the story, since I don't know the world. However, since I am a good artist, I might as well cooperate with some of the strangers people here and can add my art to their stories. You can send me requests on what to draw for your poems/stories. I think this idea will brighten up the wikia and make it more interesting.

Woohoo! December's finally here, meaning in a couple of weeks most students will have a two week holiday! The snow (hopefully), the carols streaming through the radio, and a ton of Christmas decorations being sold! Christmas trees, Christmas lights, high-prices! But most of all, the time to spend with family and friends, relaxing for a couple of days to enjoy lots of good food and presents. King's November 2014 Writing Contest

Halloween is just around the conner ladies and gentlemen, So I decided that I might have a little contest of sorts. I know we are all used to different story writing contest, but I thought that maybe we could have a contest that requires a character profile.

End of Sabbatical
Hi, everybody! Me again.
The sabbatical is over (actually, it didn't go well, and my goal of spending very little time on the iPad fell through).
I was spending lots of time using electronics, and due to sudden changes, among them an evil fluffball which we theorize might be a dog, I didn't get to spend a much time out and about asI'd planned. Sabbatical/Leave of Absence
After a roughly two-week long period of vacation, I regret to tell you that it might be a while before I'm back. Lately, I've started to realize that I'm spending far too much time using electronic devices, and I need to have a bit of time to enjoy the summer in a more physical sense. Plus, I've got a doosy of an idea for a new fantasy novel and I want to start writing. I'm not sure exactly how long I'll be gone, but I hope to be back by September. This unfortunately means my writing contest is cancelled for an indefinite period of time, but I'm sure Ave's contest will satisfy those of you who were looking forward to entering.

The Poll idea!!
Hey everyone, DronesFoul the noob here, since this is my first blog post, I would like to bring to mind what I believe to be a nice topic to discuss, the emergence of a poll here on this wiki.
The reason why this came up is because before I reached this wiki, I stumbled upon another wiki - though I forgot its name - that had the same theme about writing. However, what it had that this one doesn't is a poll about different genres. So I was wondering if we could pull such a thing off too. Well, here we are again. It's a new month. You may have noticed one, or both, of two things. Firstly, I've changed the title. After all, it's not exactly a one-shot story contest, I've realized, mainly because a lot of the entries have been finished over long periods of time. Especially mine :P
Therefore, it is now an Independent Story Contest (ISC).
Secondly, up in the northern hemisphere, something has changed. March is over, that month which is said to come in like a lion and exit like a lamb. I put it in based on a suggestion from Drace556, and it was inspired by the Gothic redesign we did for the Gothic Redesign Contest. Incidentally, we didn't win. Wasn't expecting much, to be honest, considering that I'm probably Wikia's least knowledgable Bureaucrat regarding coding, CSS and the basic workings of a wiki. Sigh :(

I saw that there have been some distressing conversations here about suicide. I've emailed Iwannabe ahero privately, but also wanted to check in here - I know how difficult it can be to see someone in pain and be stuck on the other side of a computer!
I'd like to give some general advice, which hopefully will help for the future.

Considerations of bureaucracy
OK, I think we all know that this wiki is kind of abandoned. Sure, it's got a good writing community, but the problem is that it has a lack of Admins. No Bureaucrat, no Admins, no Chat Mods, not even a Rollback. So, if were going to attract more writers and see some great stories and poems be written, I think it's obvious what we need - a staff, so we can change Community Messages and other essentials.

I have come to realize that this is a great wikia, full of friendly people and awesome articles. But there is a problem: lack of admins. I mean, only Dracula, King, Serpent, Shisaac, Hero, and I are active. None of us are admins. Even though normal wikians can do a lot of stuff, admins are needed to keep order. Hello, sorry for bothering you, I'm just a blog person. Well, when I woke up today, I found out that I was nose bleeding while sleeping. I'm worried about Karikamiya. We lost contact with her at the same time as a major earthquake hit her country, the Philippines. I just want to know if she's alright. I need help, and was I figured this was the best place to look for people who are good with words.
I'm getting an iPod (yay) and there's free engraving but it has to be 33 characters (and that's counting spaces) or less. I guess the idea is for you name or phone number or something but I don't really think someone would return an iPod. So was thinking of putting a quote. The one I really want is

Alagaësia, Tir na Nog and Midgard: The Collaborative Fantasy Battle
This is an idea for a collab story I have. Essentially, Galbatorix of Inheritance cycle fame isn't satisfied with being dark lord of Alagaësia, and so he decides to use his magical powers to create portals to Middle-earth, also known as Midgard (Lord of the Rings), Tir na Nog (as in my story All Things Must Burn And Crumble…) and perhaps even the real world. This collab will wait until Karikamiya has finished her contest (so as not to steal any thunder from her sails), I have completed reading both Brisingr and Inheritance and I expand my Tir na Nog universe.
Now, the Creativity Unleashed Wiki is not here for fanfiction, so if you want to contribute, you can add references to Lord of the Rings and the Inheritance cycle, but please don't add any…

Hello there!! I just noticed that the last contest this wiki ever held was last May 2012 (I think) We got to do something about that! So I was thinking if we could host a contest on this wiki. Like usual we'll have like three judges, then we'll need a theme. So if you guys are in. The Fate of my Stories
My attention is divided between several wikis, and of course reality, so a lot of stories I had planned are probably not going to happen. Some of you are enjoying the first instalment of Draconum Æternum, which is of course taking an eternity to update. I hope that I'll someday be able to finish it, but I need to focus more on my plans to publish a real novel and I'm really enjoying making two fanfics on the Jurassic Park Fanon Wiki. As a result, most, if not all, the stories I was planning to write, are in the trash can. If I manage to finish Draconum Æternum, then I might continue writing All Things Must Burn And Crumble…, or restart the whole Tir na Nog series from the beginning, but this is far from a certainty.
