First of all, thanks to Doodle for running the December One-shot Story Contest in my stead, and congrats to Hero for winning it! The winning story was Snow Angel, and I can guarantee it'll make you cry. Secondly, yes, my holiday is over. To be honest, it was quite liberating to not be on the Internet all the time. I considered making the change permanent, but for better or for worse, I suppose I'm needed here.
Now, onto due business. 2014 is upon us, as is the January One-shot Contest. In view of the fact that the beginning of a new year is supposed to be happy (on that subject, why was the theme Melancholy for the Christmas season?) the theme of this contest is: Birth.
No, not necessarily that kind of birth, more like the creation of new things and ideas. You can, as usual, interpret it however you want. The deadline is January 30th.
