September 11th, 2001.
3,497 people died that day.
1,609 people lost a spouse or partner.
More than 3,051 children lost parents.
American citizens weren't the only ones who died.
327 foreign nationals were also killed.
Innocent people died on this day, ten years ago.
They didn't deserve to die.
They had hopes and dreams, and families.
All gone in the space of a moment.
The horrific things that happened affected people all over the world.
It was an unprovoked act of terrorism.
It is unforgivable, and it is unforgettable.
My heart goes out to those who lost a loved one or were killed in the attack.
I ask everyone to take a moment and think about that day. Think about the innocent people who lost their lives, and think about their families. Don't let them be forgotten.
