I'm sure that we've all been biting our nails to the stub, gulping down gallons of coffee, stocking up on pens, and generally freaking out these past few days (or weeks). If you show any of the above symptoms, you are most likely freaking out about NaNoWriMo. I know I certainly am.
For those of you who don't know what NaNoWriMo is, and haven't seen Cello's awesome blog about it, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. Basically, during the month of November, you have to write a 50,000 word novel. If you finish writing 50,000 words by November 30th, you win bragging rights. If you don't, well, better luck next time.
With time trickling away every second, it's time to start preparing. After all, NaNoWriMo starts in 4 days. 4 DAYS.
In 4 days, we will go through hell, and come back with the scars to show it off. In 4 days, the sleepless nights, endless cups of coffee (or red bull), and general panic will start.
Are you ready for NaNoWriMo? If not, you better start getting prepared. After all, we're running out of time.
I wrote a little (optional) pledge for NaNoWriMo:
I, ~Angel Wings~, solemnly swear that I will NOT procrastinate during the month of NaNoWriMo. I will do my very best to write 50,000 words by the end of November. If I procrastinate, I give CU users permission to dump a bucket of freezing cold water on me, tar and feather me, etc. until I stop procrastinating.
Oh, and I also made a little countdown clock for NaNoWriMo ;)
|NaNoWriMo starts in November 1 2011 00:00:00 UTC|
Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor~!
